In this twenty-first century, many people still do not know the importance of education. Most of them do not have a good education or even a job. Education is so important. It can teach them how to lead their own lives without depending on others. What is education? Education is not just about studying different subjects and buying books. It is meant for gathering knowledge and relating it to our lives. Education is also knowing about the facts of life. Why is education important for all of us?

First, it can make our lives more comfortable and stable. Everyone in this world dreams of having a better life, but to make that happen the person needs to succeed in education. They also need to understand the value of education. Most people think education is a waste of time, as they have their own success stories which worked for them but cannot be followed by everyone.

Next, it can improve our standard of living. Most people think that education can lead a person to a position where they can fulfill all of their dreams and expectations. But education alone does not make them successful unless they work really hard for it. One needs to dedicate themselves to quality education for a fruitful result.

The third reason why education is so important is for unexpected events. One needs to educate oneself about the things which one is unaware of. Eventually, education can make us self-reliant and confident, or in other words, encourage us to face unexpected situations. Living in a society, one should be educated about one’s laws and rights. This education helps us to understanding the boundaries around us and follow the rules so that we have a peaceful life. We can also interact with different kinds of people and exchange knowledge or ideas. This will allow us to live in harmony. We should learn new things to gain respect and be an active participant in society.

In conclusion, everyone needs education to ensure all of us have comfortable and stable lives. I hope the level of our country’s education will get better and better.

Chris Emannnuel Rentap is from Miri, Sarawak. He was born on 27 October 2003 and is the eldest among his siblings. Now, Chris is a student at SMK Tabuan Jaya (Sarawak State Sport School) in Kuching. A Part-Time Job I Want - Audrea Flennysha Jackie

For the upcoming school holiday, I have decided to take on a part time-job while waiting for my SPM result. I choose to be a baker and I want to work at Taka's bakery shop that is not far from my neighborhood. Very few people want to be bakers and have a part time-job there because they love eating, not baking. Another reason why I choose this job is I love baking. Since the job is not a struggle, I can learn more about baking during my shifts which are 9 to 10 hours each. For me, baking truly keeps me fulfilled, free, and energized. As the bakery is near my home, getting there will not take an hour or have traffic congestion problems. Being next to Farley Mall, some customers stop by the cake shop after they have finished shopping at the mall.
